The Energy industry remains one of the biggest players in the Nigerian Economy. As an example, petroleum production and export plays a dominant role in Nigeria’s economy and account for about 90% of her gross earnings. This dominant role ensures that a lot of commercial activities are centered around the industry.

The coming into existence of the Nigerian Content Development Act has seen great development in indigenous participation in the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector. Many commentators have noted that Nigerian companies are on the rise in the Nigerian Oil and Gas sector and are taking on prodigious challenges and overcoming them. It is noted that there is an increased participation in these areas which for long, had been the exclusive preserve of foreign companies.

The legal service industry is not left out of this participation as Section 51 of the NCDA provides that the operators and other investors in any operations, business or transaction in Nigeria Oil and Gas industry can only retain a Nigerian Legal Practitioner or a firm of Legal Practitioners located in Nigeria.

Accompanying this, however, is the need for players in this industry to have the best quality legal service.

The practice area seeks to bring traits such as hardwork, passion, attention to details, good delivery to the Oil, Gas and Power industry.
